Franko Rahimi is Ian Rahimi’s father whom “For Ian Foundation” is named for. During Ian’s illness, Franko Rahimi started and ran “for Ian GIST Project” under Johns Hopkins umbrella. Through the generosity of many major and small donors, “for Ian GIST project” raised nearly $3,000,000, in less than two years, in research funding for finding treatment methods and basic research into GIST cancers in general and SDHB deficient cancers in particular.
